When receiving Virginia SNAP benefits you are given a Virginia EBT Card. Each month your EBT card is refilled through the Electronic Benefits Transfer system with the amount you were approved for when you applied for Virginia food stamps. It is important to know when your card gets refilled each month, so that you can better plan your food stamp purchases at stores that are authorized SNAP retailers. To find out when you will receive your next SNAP payment, look at the Virginia food stamp payment dates below.
Benefits are made available from the 1st to the 9th of every month, based on the last digits of the client’s case number.
|Case Number Ends With||Benefits Available|
|0-3||1st of the month|
|4-5||4th of the month|
|6-7||7th of the month|
|8-9||9th of the month|
If you believe you do not receive your Virginia EBT payment this month and it is past the payment date listed above, then you would need to contact the Virginia Department of Social Services, who head up the SNAP program. You can try the phone number on the back of your EBT card, or you can get the contact information on the Virginia EBT card balance page.
