When receiving Ohio SNAP benefits you are given a Ohio Direction Card. Each month your EBT card is refilled through the Electronic Benefits Transfer system with the amount you were approved for when you applied for Ohio food stamps. It is important to know when your card gets refilled each month, so that you can better plan your food stamp purchases at stores that are authorized SNAP retailers. To find out when you will receive your next SNAP payment, look at the Ohio food stamp payment dates below.
All Ohio counties issue benefits during the first 10 days of the month. Staggering benefits is optional and about 15 percent of the smallest of Ohio's 88 counties do not stagger.
For counties that do stagger, benefits are issued over a period of between 2 and 10 days at the county's option and are made available based on the last digit of the client's case number. Information on benefits not yet made available to recipients is also available by calling 1-866-386-3071, or by obtaining an issuance schedule from the local county office. If you believe you do not receive your Ohio EBT payment this month and it is past the payment date listed above, then you would need to contact the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, who head up the SNAP program. You can try the phone number on the back of your EBT card, or you can get the contact information on the Ohio EBT card balance page.
