When receiving Illinois SNAP benefits you are given a Illinois EBT Card. Each month your EBT card is refilled through the Electronic Benefits Transfer system with the amount you were approved for when you applied for Illinois food stamps. It is important to know when your card gets refilled each month, so that you can better plan your food stamp purchases at stores that are authorized SNAP retailers. To find out when you will receive your next SNAP payment, look at the Illinois food stamp payment dates below.
Benefits are made available on the 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th 9th and 10th of every month, based on a combination of the type of case and the case name. Recipients may obtain information about eligibility and benefit availability by calling the DHS Help Line at 1-800-843-6154.
If you believe you do not receive your Illinois EBT payment this month and it is past the payment date listed above, then you would need to contact the Illinois Department of Human Services, who head up the SNAP program. You can try the phone number on the back of your EBT card, or you can get the contact information on the Illinois EBT card balance page.
